Programmable Thermostat | Whole-House Zone Control

A Little More System Can Mean a Lot More Comfort.  Lower Energy Costs, Too!

Even with a newer, high quality heating or cooling system, you may not have it all.  Your energy bills could still be higher than they should be and you might even have less than perfect indoor air quality.  Still, it’s nothing that Absolute Air can’t readily take care of on your behalf.

Take programmable thermostats and whole-house zone control, for example.  If your whole house is being run by a single thermostat, then it’s a virtual certainty you’re paying too much to heat and cool and your home.  By sectioning off your home into multiple zones, you can control the temperature in each one, staying completing comfortable in your own surroundings while saving money in those rooms temporarily unoccupied.

What’s more, by upgrading to programmable thermostats with remote Wi-Fi access, you can change temperature settings one zone at time, wherever you might be, should your plans change and you want to conserve even more energy. Or, for that matter, have your home nice and cozy earlier than normal.

Whole-House Air Filtration | Air Purifier

Ultraviolet (UV) Lamps

A UV lamp installed in your air conditioning system kills mold that thrives in the cool, dark environment your system provides.  It also kills airborne bacteria and allergens, removes unpleasant odors, and all while helping to prolong the life of your system.

Air Filtration System

Whole-house air filtration systems are another means to the same end.  They can be installed in your furnace or AC air handler and filter out airborne pollutants as the air passes through your ducts.  There are different types of whole-house systems, but the most effective is a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter.  They capture a minimum of 99.7 percent of pollutants that pass through the system, and that’s about as thorough as can be.

Electrostatic Air Filters

These are used in place of the standard system filters you’re already using.  They’re electrically charged, thus enabling them to attract and trap a greater number of airborne pollutants.  They’re also easy to clean and re-usable.

Whole-House Humidifier | Whole-House Dehumidifier

Indoors or out, relative humidity has a great deal to do with our comfort levels. During the winter months, for example, forced air heating systems tend to dry your air, and that can lead to all sorts of problems, including dry skin, frizzy hair, nose bleeds, and more.  How to solve the problem?  With a whole-house humidifier installed and maintained by Absolute Air.

In the summer, you face the potential for the opposite problem…too much humidity in the air.  In fact, the older your AC system gets, the more it struggles to remove excess humidity.  That’s when it’s time to consider either a replacement system or a whole-house humidifier to augment the comfort provided by your current AC system.

Both types of humidity control systems help lower your energy costs, too.  In the summer, for example, you’ll feel just as cool at a higher thermostat setting once you have your excess humidity problem under control
